Although Shauna Roberts grew up in Ohio and now resides in
Southern California, the home of her heart is New Orleans, where she lived for
sixteen years. She has degrees in anthropology from the University of
Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) and Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.).

She is a 2010 Clarion graduate and the author of the 2009
novel Like Mayflies in a Stream (Hadley Rille Books). Set in ancient
Mesopotamia in the world’s first city, Like
Mayflies in a Stream is the story of a priestess of Inanna who risks her
life and reputation to free the city of Gilgamesh’s tyranny.
In addition to writing fantasy and science fiction, Shauna
is a multi-award-winning medical writer.
